A book that every college student should keep handy

The Holt Handbook is a pretty practical bible to grammar, usage, and mechanics. Basically, it teaches a person anything he or she would need to know about English. It's also a great resource for how to start research papers and how to organize any collected data, including MLA citations.
I suggest this book over any other college literary handbook because it's a little bit smaller in size but the information is the same (if not more organized than other books of this nature).

The used copy I received was in very very good shape. I love the thumb indexed. Very easy to find the chapter needed. This was very useful in my son's college writing years. I plan for it to be as useful in my current college expierence.
