"A welcome and needed addition to the literature, the author presents educators, related professionals, and parents an easy-to-read resource for understanding and successfully teaching middle and high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I wish this book were available when I was a child struggling through the academic and social challenges of public school." (Stephen M. Shore, Assistant Professor of Special Education 2010-11-10)
"This is not only a handy reference tool for fundamentals of the terminology and history but also a guide for effective instructional strategies. During the past 10 years, I have had several autistic high school students in my classroom; the descriptions of the social aspects of school and their impact on the autistic student are realistically described in this book and should be read by all teachers." (Patricia Waller, Former President 2010-11-10)

The concepts presented speak to a creating and maintaining a child-centered classroom that provides an education fashioned to meet the needs of each student." (Stephen D. Shepperd, Retired School Administrator 2010-11-09)
